I cannot say why Texinfo HTML, XML or Docbook is not compatible with
openoffice.  As far as I know, makeinfo output is basically correct and
complete.  If problems are found, please report them as usual.

Someone who knows about openoffice, or is willing to learn/debug, is
going to have to look at this.  I can't take it on.
