I indeed had found out that giving a background option made TPcolor true, b=
ut=20
the TeXpower manual itself (sect. 5 p. 17) says that TeXpower assumes the=
=20
document is in color if "the color package has been loaded  before the texp=
ower=20
package (*OR* if a color-related option etc.)"=20

And in my example I loaded pstcol (thus color) before TeXpower...=20
