Just try 

\usepackage[cmbrightmath]{tpslifonts}

and watch in awe :-)

Well it helps with hyphenations but indeed, they occur
seldomly on presentations...

On the other hand, the EC fonts come with a couple more
typefaces than CM (for instance, there is a slanted bold
variant of the slifonts), and you don't need the cmtt
package to get proper typewriter formatting.

But nonetheless, after adapting tpslifonts to T1 encoding,
I have to strongly commend against T1 encoding when using
cm-super fonts, because at least with acroread 5.0 for
solaris, the cm-super fonts render godawfully ugly on 
screen ;-)
