First of all - this isn't really a TeXPower question. Please use the 
general (La)TeX news group comp.text.tex for such questions -

You should have included a non-working example, because I don't see what 
isn't working. You put two minipage side-by-side and put the figure in of 
them and the text in the other. (Set the width of the minipages to 
0.5\textwidth or similar.) Or is it something else you want?

PS! Remember that you can't have \pause / \stepwise inside a minipage.
