Can you please try this:

\documentclass[a4paper]{article}
\usepackage[unicode,bookmarks,colorlinks]{hyperref}
\usepackage{lipsum}

\begin{document}

\section[\textalpha-Imagery]{$\alpha$-Imagery}

\section[\textSigma-Test for Unicode bookmarks]
