How does one put rate constants ( both forward and backward ) in equations
using LaTeX ?

A + B _f_>  C
        <___
            k

This is not very clear as I cannot type in arrows with my laptop but what I
mean is the upper Half arrow pointing right has f above it and the bottom
half arrow pointing left has k below it.

Your help is appreciated.

Thanks
