If I understand right, polyglosia is for XeLaTeX. I am not using it
becaue I am not familiar with it. I am using plain LaTeX. So, is it okay
if I use babel instead? Will that make the page numbering okay?

Sorry, I am using Omega, not plain LaTeX.
