Category: X interface Group: None Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: ctm (ctmcmullen) Assigned to: Stefan Ulrich (stefanulrich) Summary: sidebar broken by X upgrade Initial Comment: An upgrade to current X11 (XQuartz) leaves xdvik with missing outlines on sidebar (see whitespace at right around page numbers/options in attached image). This is xdvik version 22.84.16 (Xaw toolkit) Libraries: kpathsea version 3.5.7, T1lib version 5.0.1 under Mac OS X 10.5.8; same problem occurs on both Intel laptop and PowerPC desktop. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: Stefan Ulrich (stefanulrich) Date: 2010-02-25 00:01 Message: No, I can't reproduce the problem on my installation (Linux, X.Org X Server 1.6.5 Release Date: 2009-10-11). I don't have OS X to reproduce ;-) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: ctm (ctmcmullen) Date: 2010-02-24 23:56 Message: I've reverted to X11 version 2.3.1, which fixes the problem -- but unfortunately leaves me in a position unable to try your tests! (Are you able to recreate the problem with xdvi? One can also try it against xfig, which is easy to get by macports.) I did some experiments with editres, but couldn't locate a useful resource to modify. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Stefan Ulrich (stefanulrich) Date: 2010-02-24 21:48 Message: Oh, and another test: xdvi -xrm "*.borderWidth: 1" myfile.dvi ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Stefan Ulrich (stefanulrich) Date: 2010-02-24 21:45 Message: Could be a problem with X resources - what happens if you call xdvi like this: xdvi -xrm "*.button.borderColor: black" myfile.dvi Do you maybe have a tool called 'editres' installed on your system? That could help with debugging this. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=377580&aid=2957764&group_id=23164 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Download Intel® Parallel Studio Eval Try the new software tools for yourself.
