You do need network working to run chrony. > What do you mean by that? The network is fine. No it is not. It is not managing to conatact any of your sources. Make sure you are running logging ( put log measurements into /etc/chrony.conf, and restart chrony Then look at those measurements. You may have set up your firewall to block them all.
