I just got word that aap is now an official package in the Debian
unstable ("sid") distribution.  The packages are named aap and aap-doc.
I am the maintainer for these packages.

Any debian users, give them a whirl.  n.b.: if you have trouble
uninstalling it, there's already a bug for that (219506).
