It would not be impossible to add something like this, but it's not too
difficult to do this with existing mechanisms. E.g.:
install-local:
:cp $INSTALL_CUSTOM1 $CUSTOM1DIR
You might want to add something for changing the access mode. Or add
{r} to copy subdirectories. These optional things are also a reason why
adding a new mechanism doesn't really make it simpler. There are too
many things one might want to do when installing.
