Just checking:

> +            ":sys $DMD -L$*?DLINKFLAGS -L+$*?LIBS -of$target $source")

This means that you get a "-L" when $DLINKFLAGS is empty.  Isn't that a
problem?  Same for -L+$?LIBS, you would get "-L+" when $LIBS is empty.
