I'm glad you found a solution.  Strange that "set" causes the errorlevel
to be set.  But otherwise it might clear it, thus moving it out of the
way is good.

For Windows 9x we could remove the set command completely.  What is more
important: that %AAPARGS% is cleared or that the exit code is OK?
