when user in ftp has a @ inside

hi all,

how could login/use ftp, when the user itself has a @ inside.
Example: 

user is: user-9IKiO1iGCm/[email protected]
passwort: pass
domain: xy.com

so far I used:

user-9IKiO1iGCm/[email protected]:[email protected]

then user is taken as the user.

Maybe I'm doing something wrong, oder the string should get
splitted (or however) at the last @ to get the user:passwort combo
and the url?
