Hi. I use A-A-P with ccbuild. ccbuild currently has 149 source files and on my 1Ghz machine it takes about 5 seconds. So, you either have a slow machine or very large files? Try out the ccbuild source, it hasn't got much dependencies and if these files take even longer, then there might be something wrong. Otherwise, you might have a A-A-P file loop or error? Are you using seperate rules per file (like make) or are you using the "program:" directive? ccbuild can be found at: ccbuild.sourceforge.net Greetings, Bram Neijt PS It has been reported that the MD5 algorithm of Python is slow, but then again, Python is slow on load. It might just be the amount of libraries that need to be loaded? Maybe try keeping a Python program in memory somewhere?
