Strange.  I guess cvs exits with an error code on your system.  Aap then
thinks it failed.  This could be a cvs problem.

You can try going to the src directory and run Aap there.  If that works
it was indeed a problem with the cvs command.

I fixed that.  At least it works on my system now.  The select() call
was looking at the output instead of the input.  Somehow that worked in
the past.  Now it also gets the "Password:" prompt which was missing
previously.  But readline() can't be used then since there is no line
break.  And reading per-character only gets one character, select()
blocks after that...
