Is the comment enclosed in xml tags? I'm no expert, but you have to make su=
re=20
that those comments don't interfere with the parsing.

Probably not a good idea to mix them, as my use of the id field is just a=20
hack. Also the ID tag and the CAT tag are conceptually different beasts.
I suggest that you use the ID tag in the core. When (in the far future) I=20
switch to full Python datastructures for the elements, I'll make sure that =
my=20
client can also parse the ID tag.
