Sorry, not really.
Speaking about XML file, my concern is:

Is there anybody who wants "desc" field?
Is there anybody who wants "id" (numeric) field?

Simple question: Any of you will use it or think will use it?

(Peter needed additional field, but NOT in MemAid XML file format, but for 
completely different purposes - and I ask about XML file, not about core 
internals here.
Richard asked for "id" field, but I have a doubt if he still would find it 
useful in XML file, when there is no need to have scripts importing/exporting 
to XML. - so I need feedback about possible any usefulness of "id" field.)


Guys, there are really plenty of useful fields I could add (especially for 
statistics purposes: more data about last intervals), but I don't do it, 
because I don't want to bloat everything. I want to keep only most useful 
data, low memory consumption, keep format simple, MemAid clean, small, easy 
to maintain, easy to port, fast even on slow handhelds.

(Look, for example, at SuperMemo, there is more features than you could 
imagine, file format is complicated as hell, I bet it's also hard to 
maintain. SuperMemo features are hard to ever discover - it's hard to find 
the most useful features among hundreds of other implemented useless things.
Latest SuperMemo is bloated and slow as a turtle. I simply don't like such 
approach in programming resulting in slow down my brand new computer so I 
feel like I have felt a 15 years ago, and so productive as I was then with my 
Amiga with 512Kbytes of memory, huh.)


Now, about our "id" and "desc" fields: I don't mind implementing them in XML 
format (even if I personally will never use them), as long as ANYBODY will 
find them useful.
As for now it seems to me that nobody wants "id" and "desc" fields in XML but 
we all discuss how to implement it...
