I wanted to test if I could import XML generated by your program into PyQt Memaid. But, is it me, or does 'export' just create a file with <q>question</q> <a>answer</a> as opposed to full xml? I also wanted to try if I could import xml data generated by pyqt memaid (to see if it correctly ignores the category info), but I couldn't find the import button. Also, starting the program from a directory different than ~/.memaid gives ERROR in ma_init(): dir (data/) not accessible!
