I've some idea for a new MemAid front-end: a Jabberbot (which interacts with 
the console based version).

Why?
o Because there are Jabber clients for every platform.
o Because this would be a good reason for much people to start using Jabber.
o Because at university many people need to know the same vocabularies, 
wordlists,...

How? (not all these items have the same importance)
o The bot should handle multiple files and there should be a possibility to 
list all availible dictionaries people can learn.
o It should be possible to subscribe you to the dictionaries you want.
o The bot should handle multiple users with all different settings.
o The bot should remember which files every user is subscribed to.
o The bot should give a description of a dictionary if you want it (e.g.: info 
<dictionaryname>). This will also give information like how much cards are in 
it.
o Every new day the bot should send you a message which asks you if you want 
to learn the difficult words. If people say "y" the difficult words of all 
dictionaries will be given. If they say "n", it will ask you this question 
again the next day but you also can start learning manually.
o First it will sends you the word, when you type "b" (back) the bot will 
reply with the answer. After this you can reply to the bot with "1", "2",... 
and the bot will show the next word. If you want to stop it, you an type 
"quit".
o It should be possible for every user to change the order of the dictionaries 
that he will learn (e.g.: order <first dictionary> <second dictionary> ...)
o The bot should send a message when there are new dictionaries added if the 
user enables this option. There should be also an option to limit these 
messages by selecting only a few categories of dictionaries you want to know 
of (e.g.: "news french english" or "news all").
o Dictionaries can only be added locally on the computer the bot runs.
o Users can reply to a card if they see there's an error in it. These messages 
will be stored in a log for every dictionary.
o There should be an option to see *during the learning proces* how much cards 
are already done and how much cards you need to do today. Maybe also give an 
indication of the time that the user will need for this cards, based on the 
time he needed for the cards that he already did at the moment.
