Hi Shephan,

I am not able to reproduce the problem...
I have just tried it (on a updated Linux Debian Sid) and it works for me.

Works (for me) from "Input new items" (as well as after hitting "Learn new 
items" when queue.txt is empty) - new elements appeared in database...

Maybe you made a mistake (e.g. more than one MemAid instance run at the same 
time).
What happens when you press a grade? Does element dissapears (but doesn't show 
in the database) and MemAid ask for next one, or grading buttons don't work, 
or...?

Does anyone else has also such problem..?
