There are some things gitlab seems to be better at, but I do not really care. My grabber upstream is on github, so I would intend to commit there first and cherrypick no matter what. As I have mentioned before, I think the more important question is not where it lives is whether you intend to reconsider the workflow (which could have other implications). And please import the issues into the same repo (there are scripts around to import sourceforce tickets into github issues as I recall).
