Hi: I contribute a bit to the MacPorts project which packages thousands of open source projects for Macintosh users. I’ve created a preliminary package (“port”) for xmltv 0.6.1: https://ports.macports.org/port/xmltv/summary I’m working on bringing MythTV 31 to MacPorts and since xmltv is now essential, that is the main driver behind creating the xmltv port. However, I am far from a Perl guru. I noticed that the files under blib/share are not being installed. I take it they are necessary components for certain scripts, right? It appears the blib/share files _are_ installed if ‘make install’ is run. However, the MacPorts standard is to use ‘make pure_install’. In the latter case, the blib/share files are not installed. As mentioned, I know little about Perl so I’m uncertain of any other differences between install and pure_install. Guidance appreciated.
