What's the procedure for releasing a new patch version of XMLTV? I think it involves, at least: writing release notes; updating the build files; testing the build in various repos; building new alpha-exe. But I'm sure there's other things of which I'm not aware. Is there some way we can semi-automate it to make it easier to make patch releases for grabber fixes? Not every grabber fix requires a release, but the breaking bugs (e.g. uk_tvguide #173) could do with being released. I don't know about other grabbers but uk_tvguide is, it seems, used by quite a lot of people. And many of them use the windows build. I was thinking: maybe if we had a less labour-intensive process we could schedule a patch release once a month (assuming there's been any changes, of course). What do you think? Geoff
