Possible (although I have not taken time to
review the details).

And there is an atom feed, too.

Probably easier, but it would be a change from
what some currently do (and not everyone,
apparently, has a github account!).

Of course, if the number of individuals on
xmltv-release is small enough, it is probably
just easier to request they convert to github
notifications that adding in more steps.
