Slightly orthogonal, should the project try to create
a package for the Microsoft Store, which is the
distribution place many windows users expect to
be able to get packages[0][1][2]?

I really have no clue about the entire process,
or the requirements in regards to acceptable
package types.

Anyway, perhaps, food for future thought.

[0] I don't do windows, but I noticed a github
action that one can place in one's CI chain
to publish to the Microsoft Store, and that
suggested to me it might be something to
consider.

[1] I have no idea how large the Windows
XMLTV user community is and whether
that would make the effort worthwhile.

[2] Typically we see distro maintainers (or
packagers, or developers, or whatever the
distro calls them) to package XMLTV for
that distros community.  Windows is a bit
of an outlier, as the project actually ships
a binary.
