I am not positive where the problem is occurring in the sequence RT source data, XMLTV, Freeguide/XMLTV interaction. This issue was fixed in early August 2010 and was included in the 0.5.58 release of XMLTV. The current stable release of XMLTV is 0.5.59 and was made in November 2010. It looks like you need to upgrade. This issue was discussed on the mythtv-users mailing list. The cause of this particular issue was that the Radio Times switched to another data provider who provided episode numbering in a slightly different format. This meant that not all of the existing series/episode/part numbering detection routines worked as before, and would occasionally replace the real programme title with its numbering. This has since been fixed, and a great many more programme now have numbering available.
