   Yes, I believe I've tracked it down to the fact that CentOS 5's use of 
perl 5.8 forces the use of the buggy old v5 of Date::Manip (“DM5”;  “DM6” 
requires perl 5.10+).

   I just find it odd that I'm the only person on the planet seemingly 
seeing this :-/


   It looks like I'll have to patch my DM5.pm to not accept the 'TZ=' 
config. option which breaks things, since that package is unlikely to get 
updated & I don't want to have to patch XMLTV every time it's updated.
