Not off topic at all. There are few restrictions on the XMLTV file format. There are few restriction on the programs distributed in the XMLTV SourceForge distribution. There are *USUALLY* restrictions by the copyright owner and data source used by the grabber. Most of the sources targeted by the grabbers allow for non-commercial use of the data.. If you're a CableTV company, you'll probably need to pay someone for the data. (typically an aggrigator). I would check with the source used by the grabber.
