The archive is still available on the SF site. The -commits list feed was (IIRC) a casualty of the SF site rebuild after the compromise at the beginning of the year. The broken commit hook handler is why commits are accompanied with error messages. According to comments of SF's trac system [1] the syncmail script should be updated to point to sendmail to get things working again. Another link [2] may also be of use.
