It seem to have entries when there is interactive content for it's namesake channel, ie when BBC One is carrying F1 with interactive content bbc1.interactive.bbc.co.uk contains the exact same programme info as BBC One. I'm guessing bbc3.interactive.bbc.co.uk would have an entry when something on BBC Three has interactive stuff but I haven't seen evidence so far. For me using MythTV that causes a problem, I've missed recordings when MythTV decides it can get the "same" programme on the interactive channel so doesn't record the actual main channel broadcast at all :-( The EIT data from the single Freeview stream seems much more useful and descriptive and is inherently tied to the admittedly single interactive channel. The uk_rt stuff seems less useful to me but I guess makes sense to someone. There didn't seem to be anything indicating which satellite stream would be used for which content but I haven't dug into the xmltv data directly, yet anyway. If it's not eating anything much I wouldn't disable it just yet, it may be more useful when there is only one interactive stream on Satellite & Cable same as Terrestrial. I guess it's value is indicating which channel has interactive content, conceivably this could be used to trigger a recording of the associated interactive stream, I have been able to get MythTV to do this for BBC1 by setting recording rules appropriately but this wouldn't work for BBC2 or BBC3 especially if there isn't an association of streams to channels and anyway there isn't a bbc4.interactive.bbc.co.uk. It's not much but that's what it looks like to me within the short time I've been fooling around with it.
