tv_grab_uk_rt: Episode numbers and results shows

I'm a happy xmltv, tv_grab_uk_rt and mythtv user but I've had to turn  
off duplicate checking for X-factor and StrictlyComeDancing recently.  
These two programs now come with episode numbers and the xmltv title  
mangling is making the results shows look like duplicates. e.g. for  
this weekends Strictly both shows have the episode number E12S9. The  
XML from The Radio Times is the root cause of this but I suppose they  
would argue that the two shows have different titles ("SCD" and "SCD -  
The Results") and so will probably not change.

Would it be possible to add something to the episode number for the  
results show to make it different? Anything would do as the episode  
number is just a string as far as MythTV is concerned.
