Following up from another thread, I have made the following updates to the handling of the "Strictly Come Dancing" and "The X Factor" titles. I realise they are close to finishing their current runs, but with identical programme numbering being given for the regular and results shows for both shows causing issues with duplicate detection in some PVR software, the situation could be improved. Strictly Come Dancing ===================== Going forwards the intention is for the regular and results show to have different titles, to permit the handling of identical episode numbering when provided. The Radio Times feed identifies the different titles as such, so rather than moving the "Results" text to an edition's subtitle field (as used to happen), the titles will be kept separate from now on where possible: Strictly Come Dancing Strictly Come Dancing: The Results The X Factor ============ The Radio Times feed does not normally discriminate between the regular and results shows, so the single standard programme title will be kept. However, for the upcoming final and results show, the feed includes different programme titles which have the same numbering (XMLTV does not use numbering of the format 21a/22). To handle this scenario I have added a specific override that will update the programme number for the final results show from 21 to 22, which should cause duplicate detection schemes that are using episode numbering to determine this showing as a new episode and not a repeat of the final. The X Factor These have been tested with the current stable release (0.5.61) of XMLTV. Any problems, please reply.
