When testing a CVS checkout I usually do something like:

perl Makefile.PL PREFIX=/usr/local
make
XMLTV_SUPPLEMENT=./blib/share/ perl -I ./blib/lib
./blib/script/tv_grab_uk_rt --config-file ~/test.conf


Don't have to move anything around and it doesn't affect other
installs of XMLTV either.

Great news - I was quite confident it would be fine since the move to
DateTime and associated changes.

If you haven't seen the other recent posts form me on this list, the
current Radio Times data service is likely to be decommissioned before
daylight savings ends in late October 2012. A new grabber will be
available before then to take over.

The replacement listings service creates programme timings with
correct UTC offsets, so this issue should not come up in the future
after the move to the new service.
