I've noticed some problems with the Genres on Atlas, at least in mythfilldatabase's EPG. Firstly, they are almost all in lowercase, which I noticed on the rt grabber as well but was told that this shouldn't be happenning Secondly, the genres are either unusual, oddly specific or vary. Take Midsomer Murders for example. Of all the upcoming episodes over the next two weeks on ITV and ITV3, the genres vary from "Drama", "Mystery" and "Detective/Thriller". And on ITV3 tonight, part 1 of a Poirot drama (Peril at End House) is listed as "Mystery" yet part 2, that follows on straight after it in the listings, is listed as "Detective/Thriller" again. Also some of the other program titles have odd genres, for example the Worlds Strongest Man programs on Channel 5 are listed as "Strongman Contests" which again I feel a little odd. I assume this is all because the genre info from the press association data is inconsistent? Can anything be done in this regard? I've heard that some programs contain "sub-genres" or alternate genres which may be less specific that we could use to make the genres a bit more consistent, yet still appropriate to the program. Surely Midsomer Murders & Poirot could all be under Drama, whereas the Worlds Strongest Man should be under Sports, for example? Nick has mentioned a prog_titles_to_process fixup file which the radio times grabber uses. Maybe one could be adapted for Atlas? Just thought i'd let you know. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Rapidly troubleshoot problems before they affect your business.
