Win7 Batch Glitch

Hello, all. I hope you can show me the way around my problem.

Background:
I downloaded and set up XMLTV.exe on a USB thumbdrive connected to my 
Win7 64-bit machine at work. All went well; tv_grab_na_dd and tv_sort 
and tv_grep worked perfectly.

When I bring the thumbdrive home, though, and connected it to my Win7 
32-bit machine, tv_grab_na_dd fails, thus:
"cannot mkdir%MSYSDIR%\home\SYSTEM/.xmltv: No such file or directory at 
/<E:\XMLTV\xmltv.exe>XMLTV/Config_file.pm line 24."

tv_sort and tv_grep still work perfectly.

It appears that my home system is choking on the ". = current directory" 
that is baked into the retrieval of the config data.

Can anyone suggest an easy way to hop this hurdle? It's not a big thing; 
I could just always use it at work, but I'd rather not.
