I've packaged up 0.5.66 for Ubuntu (precise and trusty) - they're 
available here: 
https://launchpad.net/~alex-tomlins/+archive/ubuntu/xmltv.  The source 
for the packaging recipes can be found here: 
https://github.com/alext/packager/tree/master/pkg/xmltv, if that's any 
help in building Debian packages.
