Hi. Over the winter, as I was trying to get XMLTV (Windows) working, I ran into a strange occurrence on my home machine where the data (tv_grab_na_dd) would be received locally, but then something would dump it before the grabber could massage it into shape. (Mr. Eden helped a lot on chasing down events invisible to the casual user.) Today I noticed I was running two anti-virus programs on that box. I jettisoned the one I liked least, and lo! Everything works normally. Now, it's been months since the initial investigation, and other things may also have changed, so this correlation may not actually be causation. But it's good enough for me, and I thought I'd better share and let that final shoe drop.
