The Atlas feed has a surround attribute for broadcasts, but no indication of whether it means 5.1 or basic Dolby Surround. There's also a high_definition attribute, but I'm uncertain whether this means "true" HD or includes anything broadcast in the HD (including upscaled material). Geoff (tv_grab_uk_atlas) might have more information, otherwise it's probably best asked on the atlas-api list for a definitive answer.
