HHmmmm... I will carry the mythtv computer over to the in-laws and update the channel list/lineup.
Since you mention that, I think about 3 years ago something like that happened.

That would explain why the output file is larger.
There was one point when I reran the xmltv --configure option, but I don't recall why I did that.
My point is, I don't have a copy of the previous .conf file.
