Hi Jorge,

I'm only talking about _pt_meo, as the other grabber is a slow web
scraper which should really be removed for good.

Can you direct the output to a file with the --output parameter and post
it somewhere for analysis? I believe what you describes should not be
possible, so there must be an issue / bug somewhere in the setup.
Also the output of --version would be interesting. On the other hand,
that grabber has not seen changes in ages, as it uses a stable API at
the guide provider.

The link ending in culture=EN is just for the documentation and added
to the output as reference, so you can learn about the data source even
when you don't have the grabber, but just the output file.

I have looked at the code / API documentation and there is no way to
signal a language preference
http://xmltv.cvs.sourceforge.net/viewvc/xmltv/xmltv/grab/pt_meo/tv_grab_pt_meo?revision=1.9&view=markup#l283

There appears to be an additional / different link to the documentation,
if the original link stays broken we can switch the reference to this
one.

Also this has been working for years, returning proper UTF-8, maybe
something changed lately upstream, or there is an issue with your
windows pipeline. When I last ran the tests on Windows (4-5 years
ago) everything was working there as well.

The last run on windows was so long ago that I forgot if you need
to manually install Perl and use a checkout, or if you can just run

xmltv.exe tv_validate_grabber tv_grab_pt_meo

I tested the grabber just now and the channel list is without language-
The guide data comes with the expected language of lang="pt".

Everything appears as if it should "just work". I fixed some minor
issues while there, but nothing serious.
