Fellow uk_rt users, I've been using the Radio Times XMLTV service since late 2004. It's been nearly faultless in terms of reliability. My thanks to metabroadcast for continuing the service after they took over the management of the Radio Times digital properties in late 2011. Today metabroadcast (who run the Atlas service that provides the data for both the tv_grab_uk_rt and tv_grab_uk_atlas grabbers) announced a major change to the way they make data available to end users: "Today we are announcing some important changes to the way we make data available for smaller users of Atlas. You can read more about these changes here: https://metabroadcast.com/blog/changes-to-atlas-access " Key points: The tv_grab_uk_rt data service WILL BE TURNED OFF ON 16TH JUNE 2016. The tv_grab_uk_atlas service API key will permit a free 3 month trial, but will be disabled after that time has elapsed and will thereafter require a subscription for continued access (starting at £95/month for up to 1000 users.) So, time to start looking for another reliable source of UK listings data. As you will read in the above MB link, Schedules Direct are one of metabroadcast's recommendations for guide data. I hope that Robert (Eden) might be able to provide details of the platforms and full channel availability for the SD JSON service in the UK, to see whether it will meet your needs going forwards once the uk_rt service is turned off in a month's time. I hope you've found the uk_rt service useful over these years. I've enjoyed trying to improve the quality of the data that the grabber outputs. Thanks, Nick (tv_grab_uk_rt user since 2004, developer since 2007) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Mobile security can be enabling, not merely restricting. Employees who bring their own devices (BYOD) to work are irked by the imposition of MDM restrictions. Mobile Device Manager Plus allows you to control only the apps on BYO-devices by containerizing them, leaving personal data untouched! https://ad.doubleclick.net/ddm/clk/304595813;131938128;j _______________________________________________ xmltv-users mailing list [email protected] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/xmltv-users
