- Signed up on the SD website
- Grabbed https://github.com/knowledgejunkie/XMLTV.git (which is a
  mirror of the official CVS, but seems to be up to date enough)
- "perl Makefile.pl && make"
- Copied blib/script/tv_grab_sd_json to /usr/local/bin (I did it this
  way because the Debian packages haven't picked up sd_json yet so
  this is just a stopgap until they do.
- Ran "tv_grab_sd_json --configure", it wanted:
  - my username and password
  - to know what sort of channel id I wanted (I choose the 
    shorter mythtv variant, which is a 5 digit thing instead of a URL
    thing and therefore a bit more convenient for the mythweb ui later)
  - for lineup info. It does this by asking for country + postcode and 
    then listing the options. At first I entered my full post code but 
    this didn't include Freeview, at which point I saw
    http://article.gmane.org/gmane.comp.tv.xmltv.devel/11247 and 
    figured out my lineup, which you can enter instead of a country.
    I've since been told that just entering the first half of the post 
    code gets the full lineup selection and verified that this is true
  - It wanted to know if I wanted all channels or just a subset, I 
    said all
- Ran "tv_grab_sd_json > tmp.xml"
- Paged through tmp.xml for <channel> blocks and transcribed the 
  channel ids into the mythweb channel editor (a bit tedious, but we 
  only get ~60 channels here).
- Updated my cronjob to use the new grabber. My cronjob was an 
  ancient/custom manual thing using mythfilldatabase --xmlfile --xml. 
  I took the opportunity to switch to the more integrated way, which
  was basically:
  - create a symlink from ~/.mythtv/<Source>.xmltv to
    ~/.xmltv/tv_grab_sd_json.conf
  - update the DB to have grabber == tv_grab_sd_json (I did this via 
    SQL, which I'm sure isn't recommended).
  - simplify the cronjob to just a bare "mythfilldatabase"

For sd_json this is done via the grabber CLI not online, the online
stuff is for the original NA only SD stuff. I think other than that
you've got the gist of it.

I'd definitely recommend the mythweb channel editor over mythtvsetup
but sed/awking the xml into a SQL might be possible too, I have few
enough channels I didn't bother.
