   OK, I'll bite and try that.  In my oldrecorded table I have some 
Infinite Monkey Cage recordings off the radio;  I sued to use the RT 
feed for BBC radio but moved to EIT (because Altas doesn't have radio? 
There was a reason ...).

   And it has a mixture of things that look either like 
fp.bbc.co.uk/c9222s or EP1766004211b.  It's not quite how I remember 
things as the fp... ones are def. recent, but they are a bit 
interspersed further back - maybe I was jumping between the two feeds?

   Anyway, it'll be something like (for each of the 3 tables 
oldrecorded,recorded,recordedprogram - note the rlike for regex matches):

update oldrecorded set programid='' where
    programid rlike '^EP[0-9]+$' or
    programid rlike '^MV[0-9]+$' or
    programid rlike '^SH[0-9]+$' or
    programid rlike '^SP[0-9]+$';

   Just tried that (yes, I backed up!) and the syntax is OK.  Now to 
inject some SD listings ...
