Hello all,

I'm new to xmltv and am using it through FreeGuide EPG. I am using the
Windows version from SourceForge. The version is 5.70 which appears to be
the last version put out.

This version only seemed to have UK grabbers in the share directory yet it
can be configured for a bunch of grabbers like na_dd and na_dvt. Given
na_dvt is a free version for the US and Canada I tried that. Everything was
going well when configuring it (which seems to be a choose channel
configuration). I put in a zip code and timezone but then I received an
error that said:

Running command: "C:\FreeGuide\xmltv\xmltv.exe" tv_grab_na_dtv --configure
--gui tk --config-file "C:\Users\karen\.freeguide\xmltv-configs\na_dtv.conf"
Timezone is -0400
malformed JSON string, neither array, object, number, string or atom, at
character offset 0 (before "LWP will support htt...") at
/<C:\FreeGuide\xmltv\xmltv.exe>grab/na_dtv/tv_grab_na_dtv line 456.
Result code = 1

I think it was working fine until the part about the JSON error. I have no
grab folder in the FreeGuide installation directory so I think this is
going to the github repository because I find that folder and the
associated folder and file (na_dtv/tv_grab_na_dtv) in there. Is this error
coming from that file and is there a way to correct it?

I'm not sure if this is for the developers mailing list or whether I'm
doing something wrong in configuring it.

I tested using one of the UK grabbers (I think it was uk_bleb) and it
worked fine.

If you need more information let me know.

Thanks.

Karen
