'error in definitions' on make install

Hi

I'm on OS X 10.5, and since the fink distribution of lout is at
version 3.29 and I started getting segmentation faults when the
complexity of my lout document grew, I decided to upgrade it. I
removed the fink version and downloaded the 3.37 source. It compiled
fine, but failed on make install:

(c) Initializing run (should be silent, no errors expected)
/usr/bin/lout -x -s /usr/share/lout/lib/include/init
make: *** [install] Error 1ing now (error in definitions)line 16): 14):

It looks a bit like the last line may be multiple lines actually
sitting on top of each other, I'm not sure?
