Font for @Math

Hi,

@Math has the symbolfont and basefont option and I wonder 
why these options are hardcoded in mathf instead of re-using 
the @InitialFont from the base setup/document as basefont?

I found lout.teq tarballs on the ftp mirrors: Is there a 
similar/updated version/package for the recent @Math
available? ... or has someone a suggestion for a good/better 
looking free symbolfont to be used with @Math?
