I will tell you privately but the short answer is something else.

Oops I meant aepattr... basically for most projects (the ones where this
is not true we will fix manually) we set them up as single developer
projects (as described in the how to) and tell it to preserve the
development dir and make it so the developer can make new changes.

And we do have slightly different aepconf's in that we work in several
different langs and the build commands differ slightly (php doesn't
need one for example)
