I recently discovered that SourceForge had changed the paths to the
project web directories, and so my getaegisdist script no longer
worked. Getaegisdist, for the uninitiated, allows the user to simply
extract a tarball for a given delta of an Aegis project through a web
page. I use it on my website at
http://ecolab.sourceforge.net/cgi-bin/getaegisdist.cgi

After having too much bother at rebuilding a version of aegis that
actually works on the SourceForge system (incompatible libraries,
could build a static version, yaddayadda...), I had the bright idea of
pointing my script at the aegis executable supporting the aegis.sf.net
website. Much to my surprise, it worked!

One interesting side effect is that all registered Aegis hosted
projects is available through getaegisdist.cgi

Cheers
