Attempt to connect to incompatible archive

Hi All,

I was trying to connect from my windows machine to an sftp archive on
my linux machine with the following command:

tla register-archive
sftp://[email protected]/home/charlieb/\{archive\}

I got the message:
arch_archive_connect: attempt to connect to incompatible archive
  archive: sftp://[email protected]/home/charlieb/{archive}

The version on the (unstable Debian) linux machine is: tla-1.3.3-2
The windows version is: tla
[email protected]/dists--tla--1.3[configs/gnu/tla-devo.cfg]
from regexps.com
??
Which is the cygwin version pointed to by the arch wiki.

Any ideas what the issue may be?
Is there an archive incompatability between 1.3 and 1.3.3-2 or is it
the windows/linux thing that's messing me up?
